<image:title>BLOGS - How to Ask for Help? - Asking for help can be one of the most difficult things in our lives.</image:title>
<image:caption>We are programmed to be independent, tough, and smart. But asking for help does not negate any of those attributes, in fact, it can strengthen them. Setting aside our egos and reaching out to another for help is the smartest thing we can do. Not allowing depression and anxiety to rule your life will be the smartest thing you’ll ever do.</image:caption>

<image:title>BLOGS - How to Ask for Help? - At the end of the day just ask for help. You are only a failure when you stop trying. Asking for help in any capacity is better than trying to hold and deal by yourself when you are struggling.</image:title>

<image:title>BLOGS - Why Live for Today? - MEMORIES OVER MONEY</image:title>
<image:caption>I say this fully aware of the need for money in our lives in modern society. The emphasis of this phrase is to shift where we place value. If you only value money you will find yourself chasing the short term dopamine hit of a purchase, and not focus on your purpose. There is also the pitfall of debt, and when we find ourselves in debt that job you wanted to quit is no longer an option. Starting a business becomes too risky, and being able to focus on self care becomes a secondary thought. Memories created by yourself, with family/friends is what we carry with us throughout our lives. I hear in sessions fond memories of “an easier life”, and the center of that has always been memories with people we love and with little emphasis on money.</image:caption>

<image:title>BLOGS - Defining Our Trauma - The reality is that most of us carry some sort of trauma. Trauma for some becomes a defining moment in their lives. Its role on the subconscious can be a subtle as avoiding certain locations, or as detrimental as self-harm and substance abuse. Domestic violence, accidents, stories of others trauma, physical pain, unwanted sexual advances are all forms of trauma we may experience in ours lives. These traumas in some way or another shape our personality, our ability or inability to cope, crisis responses, our ability to let others love us and so on.</image:title>

<image:title>BLOGS - Defining Our Trauma - The need to properly identify traumas in our lives is to start the process of healing. This is because we need to face our past, understand how it has defined our life's path, and help set a course towards healing and becoming whole again. There is meaning in all of our lives events, and it is up to you to come to understand what that means to you, and how to go forward knowing that we can’t undo the past.</image:title>

<image:title>BLOGS - The Joys of Journaling - Benefits of Journaling According to Positive Psychology , journaling c an help manage depression, anxiety, stress, and recovery from trauma. Some of the benefits of journaling when working with a Cognitive Behavior Therapist (CBT) practitioner can be that it reveals recurring themes, mental blocks you were unable to verbally express, and allow you to reframe trauma that you have been working through. This in general can reduce depressive symptoms, affords more control to the individual, reduces intrusive thoughts, and lessens one's overall anxiety. This reduction in anxiety can be a past event or a future event. I often have my clients journal around an upcoming event that is causing them anxiety. They write about what their initial thoughts are, worst and best case scenarios.</image:title>
